Data Engineer and Analyst (Intelligence Platform)

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer and Analyst to design, implement, and manage data pipelines and analytical systems essential for deriving actionable insights from UAV operational data. Your role will involve ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data infrastructure, as well as performing detailed data analysis to support strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline. (Experience is more desirable than a degree)
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related roles, ideally within aerospace, UAV, or robotics industries.
• Proficiency with data pipeline frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience using data analysis tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or similar.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana).
• Excellent understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data security best practices.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data collection, storage, and processing.
• Implement and manage big data storage solutions, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Perform complex data analysis, generate insights, and produce actionable recommendations for operational and strategic decisions.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, embedded systems teams, and project managers to integrate data analytics seamlessly into UAV operations.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing and analytics workflows.
• Develop automated data reporting and visualization solutions to enhance operational awareness and decision-making.
• Document data architectures, analytical methods, and maintain comprehensive operational records.
